When Amazon can deliver almost anything in under an hour, waiting up to four months for a sofa (because god forbid you want something that isn’t the one in stock upholstery option) can be absolute torture—and cost you a fortune to boot. The Inside is a new furniture company that delivers fun, playful patterns and styles at affordable price points—in as little as six days.

Started by DwellStudio founder Christiane Lemieux, The Inside brings the fast fashion model to the furniture world—in that they’re able to offer hundreds of styles and designs and produce them quickly using 3D models and digital fabric printing. Since everything is made to order in six to 14 days, no inventory means less overhead and lower prices. It’s also more sustainable, with reduced production costs and limited waste.

And what are those prices, exactly? Pieces average $300: Queen headboards start at $499, benches and ottomans at $219, accent chairs at $349, etc. The core collections (with names like The Wild Inside, The Global Traveler Inside) include a variety of on trend patterns, like banana leaf, pink cheetah, rich velvets, painterly florals, bold geometrics, and more.

“We want living spaces to be the backdrop of people’s lives and every bit as unique as their individual personalities,” says Lemieux. “The Inside will transform the way people shop for furniture and interiors by making it less onerous, infusing as much joy and personality into the buying experience as the products themselves.”

“Leveraging technology, we can for the first time detach value from price and create an assortment of styles for any mood,” she continues. “Our ability to bring designs directly from the runway to someone’s home will be a shock for the industry.” In fact, the brand collaborates with fashion designers and other influencers for capsule collections—currently available are designs from Claire V. and Peter Som.

“We want to give customers something very special, very quickly and at a price that makes refreshing their style attainable.”
