A Former Beige Snorefest Is Now Anything But Boring
Name: Katie Avram and Butterscotch the cat Location: Bankview — Calgary, Alberta Size: 700 square feet Years lived in: 1 year, owned I bought my condo a year ago and went to town on personalizing it from the beige/tan snorefest it was. I had been looking to buy a condo for over a year and had seen dozens in person that were definitely nice, but just weren’t me. The windows and view sold me on the place from the listing photos and I called my realtor right away to arrange a viewing.

The rugs will be available for a limited time in 2019.

IKEA Just Announced a New Collaboration With LEGO
My husband has a seriously convenient knack for putting together IKEA furniture. Seriously, sometimes I (half) jokingly suggest he start side hustling as a TaskRabbit for a little extra income. But the thing is that he actually enjoys it—and when I ask him why he says it’s like building LEGOs for grownups. Well, now he might actually be able to build an IKEA LEGO, or something like it.

Want to Lower Your Rent? Try This Unique Living Option
In the immortal words of Jimmy McMillan, “The rent is too damn high!” I live in Austin, which means my wallet cries each time I pay rent. Of course, I don’t live in a city where rent is sky-high like New York or San Francisco… but still, I don’t live in Toledo or Memphis, cities where the rent is barely-there. The burden for this writer is heavy to bear alone.

Before and After: A Truly Transformed 366-Square-Foot Apartment Kitchen
This 34-square-meter (366-square-foot) Moscow apartment might not look like too much right now, but its owner saw potential and had it transformed into a rather roomy—bigger than at least two of my apartments anyway—Airbnb rental apartment. Unsurprisingly, the kitchen is the heart of this (temporary) home. Ugh. But just because you (rightfully) love IKEA doesn’t mean your space needs to fall into basic territory.
