For fans of the cartoon Darcel Disappoints or the now-shuttered Paris shop Colette, you’ll be delighted by the news we’re sharing with you today: IKEA is about to launch an entirely new collection called FÖRNYAD.

This collection is playful and celebrates what student life is like in this modern age. And, most importantly, the collection has been designed by Sarah Andelman of Colette and Craig Redman, the artist behind Darcel Disappoints.

Colette was an iconic fashion retailer in Paris for 20 years, and the buzzy store excelled at creating pieces that were simultaneously flamboyant and elegant. Darcel, a leggy egg-shaped eye, communicates the highs and lows of living in a big city. The cartoon’s illustrations are simple, though intentional and unique. The combination of these two brands for an IKEA collection is every bit as weird and wonderful as you might imagine.

With the FÖRNYAD launch, IKEA customers will see an aesthetic unlike anything else the retailer has released before. Expect to see peach, fuchsia, mustard, royal and sky blues all together, while flowers, circles, and Darcel are the core patterns for the line. FÖRNYAD’s offerings will include sofas, lamps, chairs, desks, and accessories—just to name a few. You’ll even be able to find stationery as a part of this collaboration!

The capsule hits stores in June and we’re excited to check it out in the flesh. But for now, here are some of our favorites:

6. FÖRNYAD Rug, Low Pile

Rugs can certainly start to blend together after a while, but this out is an outlier. With a design that’s is both woodsy-hip and Scandinavia-abstract, it works
