Ana is one of them. This incredible Panamanian woman has great energy and knows how to transform it into beautiful art pieces. She’s a woman with good taste and she’s committed to everything she does. Art is Ana’s passion and she’s filled everything around her with that spirit.

Name: Tavia Tindall Location: North Minneapolis, Minnesota Size: 1,496 square feet Years lived in: Owned 1 year Tavia is one of the lucky few who have been blessed by a full and complete home after only a year of home ownership and barely spending a thing. Friends and family, thrift stores, and garage sales have allowed her to fill her space with unique, original, and rare decor from numerous eras and styles.

Incredible light and high ceilings frame floral patterns, shades of blue and elaborate tiles, which in turn add modernity to a space with stunning, classic architectural details. Sandra is a fashion designer and has her own brand, Kaif. She also has a beautiful store in Valencia where she sells all the pieces she creates.

Name: Annette and Jason and their two cats, Fitzgerald and Chiquita Location: Los Angeles, California Size: 4000 square feet Years lived in: Rented 3 years I can honestly say that this is one of the most unique houses I have ever photographed. Nestled inside of an old Edison Electric Building, Annette and Jason have made their home in a mixture of long tunnels, small cutout nooks and large expansive spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Name: Yancey, Carter and Duck Location: Cleveland Park — Nashville, Tenneesee Size: 1,500 square feet Years lived in: Owned 6 months Yancey and Carter bought their first home six months ago in the blossoming East Nashville neighborhood of Cleveland Park. It was built in 1908 and is on the historic registrar. The house was nearly torn down in 2010 but instead was rehabbed by Habitat for Humanity and cared for by the previous owner.

It’s a creative gem put together by their common passions for nature, surf and the bohemian lifestyle à la francaise.

Name: Liz and Brendan, and cat Vincent Location: Mount Vernon Square — Washington, D.C. Size: 900 square feet Years lived in: Renting 10 months Inviting, modern, and thoughtful. Like most people, Brendan and I have sought to make our living space representative of who we are. When we combined our homes last year, we had to be intentional about what came with us. When looking to buy a home four years ago, the requirement was that she have space to have her workshop at home. As a result, she lives in a ’70s-built home with her husband and three children, in a quiet and leafy suburb. What is lovely about Christina’s home is that it doesn’t adhere to one style.

A-K, a half-Danish art director in advertising, draws a lot of her inspiration from classic Danish design, which she likes to mix up with interesting objects she and her boyfriend Jeremy collected over the years while travelling.
