As we near the end of 2017, we are naturally looking to the future. Quite a few paint companies have announced their 2018 Colors of the Year, and there are a broad range of hues to choose from. Here’s a roundup of what they say we’ll be seeing more of in the coming months, along with advice on how to decorate with them. PPG Paints and two of its other brands, Olympic and Glidden, all went to the dark side with a shade of black for 2018.

Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi List Their Santa Barbara Villa for $45 Million
Ellen is on the move. The comedian, TV host, and designer has listed the Santa Barbara villa that she and wife, actress Portia de Rossi, bought in 2013. Originally built in the 1930s by famed architect Wallace Frost for himself, it was inspired by his years living in Italy. Frost emulated the style of Old World villas with stone walls, a classic barrel-tiled roof, terra-cotta surfaces, wide wood flooring planks, rustic exposed ceiling beams, and 18th century Italian tile.

The Boston Business Journal reported Monday that the company will possibly take over a space on Boylston Street in Boston’s Back Bay that is currently occupied by a Marshall’s. Meryl is on the move. The 20-time Academy Award nominee (and three-time winner) just dropped $3.6 million on a mid-century pad in Pasadena, California. Streep and her husband, sculptor Don Gummer, are the first people to buy the home in nearly fifty years, according to the exclusive on Variety. A Stained Glass Cabin in the Woods
Imagine a beautiful retreat that celebrates light, color and nature, all in one. Enter Glass Cabin, a creation handmade by stained glass artist Neile Cooper. New Jersey based artist Neile Cooper had the idea for a little cabin in the woods where she could show off her stained glass craft.
