The door was open and they popped their heads in.

And his style is influenced considerably by the ’80s and a love for graphic lines and vibrant colors. Although Stefano’s apartment is on the small side, every item has its own place.

They found a space in an old, industrial building in a mixed-use neighborhood that’s lively and vibrant.

I share my middle name with her (Stewart). She was the most amazing hostess and the money she left me when she passed was the seed money to get the design going on this little haven.

But as a little boy Stephan loved rearranging his bedroom, tweaking details to make the space look lovely.

Amazingly, Kirsten and Eric’s apartment in downtown Vicenza features both! With thoughtfully chosen items from estate sales and antique stores around Europe and the U.S., this couple has quite the collection of beautiful things from their travels around the world.

In the 1960s, it was a photography studio, welcoming lots of models and colorful characters into its airy interior. When that photographer retired, he moved out and let his son rent the place: Gianni, an architect who appreciates simplicity in things.
