Salli and Sebastian were drawn to the quirky details of this 550-square-foot D.C. rental apartment, including the “angled ceiling upstairs, the exposed pipes, and the little nook under the staircase — all of which make the space feel unique and full of personality.”

Jake and August’s landlord “wasn’t exactly open to renovations,” so the couple got creative with upgrading their rental by swapping outdated overhead light fixtures and “adding smart storage wherever we could.”
