This “Innovative” Cleaning Tool Gets Floors and Windows Spotless Without All the Effort (“It’s a Lifesaver!”)
There’s no other cleaning task that makes me feel quite as productive as Swiffering. It’s quick and easy, and it doesn’t hurt that the Swiffer’s scented wet cloths leave my apartment smelling like lavender. As much as I would enjoy only having to Swiffer, it’s not enough for deep cleans. You’ll know this if you’ve also thought your floors were clean after the fact, only to discover that the bottoms of your socks subsequently turned black.
To really get rid of all the grime on your hard floors, you’re going to need something heavy-duty. Luckily, that doesn’t necessarily translate to a heavy floor cleaner. We found a mop and bucket system for $50 on QVC that’s delightfully lightweight and compact, yet still manages to leave floors spotless and with zero residue left behind. The True & Tidy mop and bucket system is far from your average floor mop, though. It has some nifty features that make cleaning your floors (and windows!) a breeze.
What Is the True & Tidy Mop & Bucket System?
The mop and bucket system comes with four important parts: the bucket, a stainless steel handle, and interchangeable mop and silicone sweeper heads that you can swap out based on your cleaning needs. The mop head is square and flat, not unlike a Swiffer head, but it comes with two reusable microfiber pads that QVC shoppers say work to get rid of grime once paired with the right cleaning solution. But what really sets this mop apart from others is the bucket’s built-in wringer and separate compartments for clean and dirty water. So, instead of pushing a mucky mop head around your floors and leaving streaks behind, you can wring the gunk out every few minutes to keep your mop sanitized. When you’re done, the bucket has a drain plug for easy, mess-free empties.
As for the sweeper attachment, that can be used on both hard floors and carpet; it’s especially great for extracting pet hairs from rug fibers. And because it’s made of silicone and has a flat edge, the sweeper doubles as a squeegee that you can use on windows, shower tiles, and other non-porous surfaces. Once you’re through using all of the components in this mop system, your home will be sparkling from top to bottom!
What QVC Reviewers Are Saying
Average Rating: 4.8/5
“We absolutely love our new spin mop from True and Tidy. The feature to keep the water separated is fantastic and really works. I love that if I miss getting those pesky head hairs off the floor, the dirt brush catches it and pulls it off the mop when it spins so I’m not pushing around hair on my clean floors. I would buy this mop over and over again. I was hesitant about having a flat microfiber head over a true mop style for cleanliness, but it works better than a traditional mop style.” —CourtB
“The mop that you thought you didn’t need, but do … the mop is very sturdy and does not feel like it will break with a little pressure, unlike other cheap plastic mops. The same goes for the bucket; it, too, is well-made. The spinning clean feature is wonderful … the bucket even includes a drain plug so all that nasty water can be drained out. They thought of everything someone would need to make mopping easier and put it into this product.” —markm122
“I am so glad I bought this mop. I was on the fence, as I figured the mop I had was doing the job just fine, but boy was I wrong. What a difference having the clean and dirty water separated made! And to boot, ‘wringing’ it off is also a breeze with the perfect amount of moisture left to clean my hardwood floors.” —VanessaPin
Even if you live in a small apartment and already have a storage closet full of cleaning supplies, you’ll have no problem storing this mop system, thanks to its slim design. Considering how effective it is, it deserves a spot among your other go-to cleaning tools — a fact you’re bound to realize immediately after the first use.
