Dyson Just Released a New Cordless Vacuum That’s Made for Larger Spaces
If you’re looking to invest in a new vacuum, we have good news: Dyson just launched a new version of their V11 cordless vacuum called the V11 Outsize, and it’s made with larger spaces in mind.
Dyson devotees can tell you that the main issue with the brand’s popular cordless vacuums is their size. While cordless vacuums are convenient and compact, they run on a battery and tend to be smaller in size, making them better suited to smaller spaces. People who live in larger homes typically stick with corded upright vacuums, even though they’re bulkier and aren’t exactly easy to navigate—until now.
Dyson’s V11 Outsize has the same technology as the V11 Torque Drive, which launched last year. Both models have Dynamic Load Sensing (DLS) technology, which senses floor type and adjusts suction accordingly, but the Outsize has a 150 percent bigger bin and a 25 percent bigger cleanerhead. In fact, this cleanerhead is the same size as Dyson’s corded upright models, allowing you to clean more surface area at a time. And that larger bin means less emptying, which is a major perk for those in larger homes (especially if you have a pet).
Also like the V11 Torque Drive, the Outsize has three cleaning modes to save energy (Eco, Auto, and Boost), and displays reports in real time on a screen located at the top of the vacuum. The vacuum lasts for up to 120 minutes when it’s on Eco mode, and can be wall-mounted when charging and not in use. Plus, it easily converts to a handheld if you need to clean those hard-to-reach spots. And of course, it comes with the full suite of Dyson attachments.
The only downside? Like all of Dyson’s models, the V11 Outsize comes at a very hefty price—just under $800, to be exact. If you still want a Dyson vacuum but at a lower price, you can currently get the popular Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 for $349.99 on Dyson’s site. It’s not a cordless model, but it’s a heavy duty option that’s easy to navigate and delivers a super powerful clean.
