Nothing signals the arrival of warmer days like the smell of food grilling on a BBQ (freshly cut grass comes in a close second)! But for anyone who lives in a small apartment or lacks outdoor space, cooking on an actual charcoal or gas grill is out of the question. That’s where Le Creuset’s brand new Cast Iron Skinny Grill comes in. Measuring just 15 inches long and eight-and-a-half-inches wide (that’s smaller than a half-sheet pan), the grill lets you prep everything from juicy burgers to charred zucchini right in your kitchen. And right now, it’s marked down to $100 (normally $185) as part of the Le Creuset Spring Cookware Event at Williams Sonoma.

Like all things Le Creuset, the Skinny Grill is constructed from cast iron with a colorful porcelain-enameled exterior — just check out the 10 gorgeous tones! It features a few key design updates to Le Creuset’s classic rectangular grill pan, including flat, solid handles that are easy to grip while moving the pan around from stovetop to oven to table. The Skinny Grill also has deeper and higher ridges that allow for better grill-mark development and charring. Additionally, the ridges help to separate food from excess oils and fats, making it a great way to prepare lighter meals like grilled veggies, whole fish, and marinated tofu.

The oven- and broiler-safe design of the Skinny Grill also makes it extremely versatile. You can grill burger patties on your stovetop, add a slice of your favorite cheese, and transfer the whole setup under the broiler for melty perfection. Grill slices of fruit, then brûlée a dusting of Demerara sugar on top, and you have a quick-and-easy delicious dessert. Any stovetop-to-oven recipes like beef ribeye or pork chops will also benefit from first being seared with flavorful grill marks, then being finished in the oven in the same pan. And once you’re done, the grill’s nonreactive interior easily cleans up by hand or in the dishwasher.

Le Creuset’s Spring Cookware Event runs through May 11, and also includes our favorite baking dish and the brand’s cult-favorite Dutch oven that’s currently 20 percent off. If you’ve had Le Creuset cookware on your wishlist, and are planning to grill a lot this summer, it’s an incredibly good time to snag a major deal.
