Mindy Kaling’s Draped Tufted Sofa Is the Most Luxurious Thing You’ll See All Day

How can a tufted sofa look even more elegant than it already does? According to Mindy Kaling, all you have to do is… untuck the upholstery?

Kaling posted a photo of herself on Instagram that shows her sitting on one of the most luxurious-looking couches ever. It’s tufted, it’s draped, it’s casual yet sophisticated — it’s something our design brains collectively need to take a closer look at.

“I just get so tired after slaying lewks,” Kaling captioned the March 14 pic. “THIS. SOFA!!!!!!!!” one person commented, and one simply has to agree.

If this sofa isn’t the Bohémien sofa from Busnelli (designed by Alessandro Castello and Maria Lagravinese), then it must be directly inspired by the 2010 design. Castello and Lagravinese mastered the untucked tufted look in both upholstery fabric and leather and gave the Bohémien sofa a modern look with a seat that curves into the armrests.

Sadly, the Bohémien is hard to get your hands on as they’re not currently being made new. Some secondhand luxury furniture websites have had a few in stock in the past, so keep your eyes peeled if this is a piece you’d like to add to your collection.
