Flying Around the Holidays? Southwest Is Having a Flash Sale
It’s a truth universally acknowledged that flying during the holidays is expensive. But today, we’re feeling thankful for this Christmas in July gift from Southwest—where November and December flights are on sale.
Starting at just $47, the one-way legs are cheapest for shorter, regional flights, (like Long Beach to Las Vegas) but there are some good deals for longer flights, too. For example, Fort Myers to Milwaukee is $125, Chicago to Boston is $115, and New Orleans to Los Angeles is $137. The fares are valid for (non-Friday and Sunday) dates between August 21, 2018, through February 13, 2019 to and from US locations.
Sadly, there are still blackout dates, but if you can finagle a longer trip or build in some WF(your parent’s)H days, the prices are pretty good. Those blackout dates for domestic travel are: August 31, September 3, November 20-21, November 24-26, December 21-23, December 26-27, December 29-30, 2018; January 1-2, 2019.
There are even options for international travel, so you can skip the turkey and chill on the beach. The sale has flights to and from Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Nassau, and Havana.
If you want a deal, you’ll have to book quickly; fares are valid through Thursday, July 26 at 11:59pm in the timezone of the originating city.
