Tracy Bennett, a self-proclaimed interior decorator and avid DIYer, loves to have color, modern furniture mixed with vintage, and tons of art in her home, a 1977 Ranch house she shares with her family.

When fashion stylist and influencer China Calé and her family of five were on the hunt for a bigger apartment, they came upon this huge apartment that had lots of potential but needed work.

Nicollette and Magnus live in a condo in a renovated schoolhouse from the 1800s. "The way the building was constructed preserved the beauty of the old architecture while adding modern finishes."

Cecilia, of the bright and cheerful account @mylifeinmulticolour, skips neutral Scandinavian palettes in exchange for more contemporary colors in her eclectic, colorful Stockholm home.

"My color palette (lavenders, mauves, whites, and vintage wood tones) calms me down and puts me in a creative mindset," explains designer Kate DeWitt. "I also focused a lot on mood lighting in this space."

Mish, who founded design studio Tangerine Living, says this rental apartment was initially a very awkward studio with a tiny, unused upstairs storage room. But along with partner, Ryan, they redid floors, ceilings, doors, kitchen, bathroom, and decor... and all on a DIY budget!
