Let’s say you’re renovating your home. And you dream of a giant, spacious bathroom like this, but that’s not going to happen because all of those bathrooms are bigger than your entire house. Sometimes, you’ve just got to work with the space that you’ve got. Fortunately, we’ve got plenty of ideas for your small bathroom that will save space — and still look beautiful.

This bathroom, spotted on Share Design, features a slim sink set into a shallow counter. There’s still a place to put your stuff while you’re getting ready, but you save about a foot over a traditional vanity.

With a wall-hung toilet, like this one in a bathroom from Dezeen, the tank part is recessed into the wall, which can save a few precious inches in a small space.

Instead of a curb and a typical shower door, try a frameless glass door and a curbless shower, like in this bathroom from VT Wonen. Not having walls around the shower will save a little bit of space, but the big gain will be visual — the shower will seem to disappear, making the bathroom appear much larger.

If you have less than five feet of clearance but still want a bathtub, don’t despair. Plenty of manufacturers makes tubs in sizes small than 60″. Also, a glass panel can block spray from the shower, and take up a lot less visual space than a shower curtain and rod.
